Jellystitches --- 123 stitch is a great online store. It's one of my favorites. I always check there first. Enjoy the chart!

Profile Information

What aspect of textiles are you interested in?
Cross stitch, embroidery, crochet more now. But I do all kinds of needlework as the mood strikes me.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
My earliest memories are learning to crochet while sitting on a kitchen chair keeping my mother company as she cooked. My mother taught be the basics of almost every kind of needlework. I also come from the era when everyone took Home Ec. in school so some skills came from grade school and Junior High. And the rest I learned on my own from books and now on-line sites.

Hi again Annie! I've just posted a comment on the Cross Stitchin Fingers group, with a note to you regarding my idea of a Christmas card swap. As nobody else has expressed interest in this, would you like to do a one-to-one card swap with me?

Hi Annie,
Thanks for the compliment about the photo of me and the dingo pup - they are even cuter when they've grown a bit more! Compliments to you too, for your lovely stitching, which I've been admiring while typing this, as the photos are popping up just above the comment wall!

Annie, I went to your link and am doubly impressed. First, I'm impressed that you know how to make links. I have tried to master this procedure, but I haven't been able to understand the directions. Second, your samplers are so original and well done. You have made a lot of people happy! I especially liked the one you made for the October born baby with the Halloween theme. I also liked the way you have the recipients in some of the pictures--so cute. Thanks so much for sharing. It was a pleasure to view.

Annie, I finished the blackwork koala. I posted pictures of it and made an album for it in which I explain some of the process etc.
I decided to do it in black as directed since I already had the kit with all the "fixin's".
Thanks again for guiding me to the site where I could purchase it.

You asked about how to measure for the template for the tins. I actually take the bottom and trace around the tin on a piece of cardboard, usually from a shoe box which is the perfect thickness. I use a permanent marker then I cut it out on the inside of the line so that it is a tad bit smaller and then when you glue your piece unto the cardboard with batting in the middle it fits perfectly on top, then you hide the sides with trim:)

I was reading through your wonderful blog. I love that you did a donation for the Halloween things to the children that were victims of child abuse that Cynthia was teaching cross stitch to.

Does she still teach them, or different children victims? I think that would be a wonderful thing to do and maybe I could get my local group to donate to something like that.

Hi Annie,

Thank you for looking at my blog :)
I just love that bunny and squirrel, too! when I did the bunny, i got the white "Whisper" angora yarn and doubled it and only did half crosses. and for the squirrels tail, same thing, only with a red and I only did lines here and there on it. I love the fluffiness .
