What textiles are you interested in?
All types of hand embroidery, have spent a lot of time doing counted techniques but now moving into surface stitching
Where did you learn your textile skills?
Mainly self-taught but I have taken a few classes over the past 5 decades. In Nov 2010 I started a on-line C&G embroidery course.
Let us know you are not a spam bot. Is there anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group?
I have been doing ATCs and "smalls" this year to experiment with different stitches and techniques. Hopefully I will produce some bigger stuff in 2011.

Thank you for your comment and all the way from NZ !- I wish I was there too as its such a lovely place and my Aunty lives in Blenheim!!- yes the design for the pouch or 'little treasure' was in the Winter 2003 magazine by Carol Fletcher - it was fun to make and just needs a bit of fiddling to get it into shape as the pelmet vilene base I used was quite stiff ! - Your work is lovely and it was great to hear from you !! :-)

Annette,

I am not at all upset! I always feel honoured that people like my designs and wish to use them! I also like the way you used lace for her wings--very creative! Thank you for noting that it was my design. I love Rosie Dragon too, she has a special place in  my heart too. Her expression was a little nervous, and for a dragon, I think that's very sweet! Happy sewing :)

Post helpful links to blogs, websites etc but do not pitch or point to direct selling points.

The exception to this is the "Your Page" area, where it is OK to post links to your etsy shop etc

2. Please keep all photos related to the topic of textiles. This means no pets children etc. Photos are limited to 5 uploads per day.

3. Observe copyright law at all times. Infringement will lead to being banned.

4. Using the RSS feature to pull your blog posts from blogger, wordpress etc into your page is permitted. Do not pull in other peoples blogs as this is republishing their material in a public space and a copyright infringement.

5. Keep the discussion on topic. Title your subject clearly.
