Profile Information

What textiles are you interested in?
embroidery, all types, quilting, art quilts, mixed media, paper quiltinq, knitting, crocheting etc etc etc all of it.
Where did you learn your textile skills?
Garndmother's knee, some at school well an cookery apron and an underslip two sizes too big for me. I hated textiles at school. Self taught to a large degree then I did two NCFE courses in embroidery in 9 months and was pushed into doing C&G. Finished Part 1 Surface Design/Embroidery and took Part 2. Got through the first year and the course folded due to funding. Started Part 2 at another college and the same thing happended. I never did finish Part2 but the skills and love of experimentation stayed.
Is there anything else you'd like other members of Stitchin' Fingers to know about you? Please feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself by way of introduction.
I enjoy walking, reading, mixed media textiles, talking to people, line dancing, talking to people, buying books, socialising. I'm not a gardener but love gardens (anyones but my own). Enjoy going round National Trust and English Heritages sites and I love my family to bits.

Hi Annette,
Your work on these blocks is truly amazing. The embroidery/bead combinations are so fun and such a joyful creation. Where do you get your ideas??? I go gaga for anything purple, so these are right up my alley! Your work is something truly to aspire to!
Can you tell us if these blocks are going into a quilt?
