- What textiles are you interested in?
- I love texture and colour - papers and ephemura mixed with hand stitching and free machine stitching
- Where did you learn your textile skills?
- I had a fantastic teacher when young who was into crafts and taught me how to embroider and needlepoint - my mother also embroidered - from then on.......just learning and practicing on my own
- Is there anything else you'd like other members of Stitchin' Fingers to know about you? Please feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself by way of introduction.

There are two problems: 1) I'm intimidated by all the excellent work others have posted, and 2) I'm still trying to figure out where I left my instructions for my digital camera so I can learn how to load photos on the web! Despite 40 years as a well-organized professor, now, in retirement I find that chaos seems to be my more natural condition. Gaye

- Yes, Anne, the island of Hvar is in Croatia - and beautiful. Though expensive those last years. As you are in England - there are flights directly to Split from where one goes by boat to the island. Many English come. The robin is probably the European kind, because here they look the same. We have them around the house. I know that American birds are quite different. - My question: The gessoed background- what is that? Is it something like glue? Which you spread on the French page?

- Yes, you read it right! Hvar, it is our place in early summer with the only disadvantage, that i cannot be online like in Germany. But there is the Adriatic sea and the sun...
