I love how you used negative space to create the seahorse, it really makes him pop.

This is absolutely gorgeous. Your shading and stitch angles are amazing.

Do you remember the name of the co. and/or the kit title? I really like this and think it would look great in my son's guest bathroom which he and my daughter-in-law have put an Oriental theme in.

Profile Information

What aspect of textiles are you interested in?
I love doing needle work, I started cross-stitching when I was young and have recently started adventuring in to the other styles out there.
Where did you learn your textle skills?
My grandmother introduced me to cross stitch and from there I'm pretty much self taught. I love reading other people's tips and tricks and trying them out myself.
Anything else you want to say to introduce yourself to the group??
My life goal is to try every style of needlework out there.

Hi Anna, these are futurism days and we have to live with our times and the tools they provide.....and they don´t make it any less beautiful!

Hi Anna thanks for your comment I had better explain how this design came about ....i was trying to generate some interest in embroidery stitching to a couple of disaffected young lads in one of my classes.....i decided to look at tattoos as they seemed interested in drawing skulls .I then went on to start stitching the skull I had drawn as an example to them I then decided to make it into a colourful day of the dead skull ....one of the lads did go on to embroider a copy of a tattoo in back stitch and stem stitch so it was useful exercise after all ! all the best

Thanks Anna for your comment. It was really fun embroidering this. Now that I see your Petit Lotus I need to practice cross stitch too. Really beautiful design and shading.
Have a great day!

Thank you for noticing my new pulled thread piece, pt30. Your trees piece is still in my mind and may spawn a daughter. I've got an idea.....

Hello Anna, Thankyou for your encouraging comments. I must say the gecko is my favorite. We have lots of these little fellows outside our home that come out at night to feed on insects. Some even make it inside and scamper around. I don't mind that they come in - they are so cute but I do try to catch them and place thm back outside.
