Anja, knew the hardanger girls would not let you down, hope you have enough info now to help you with your threads. This is a great site if you want help everyone ralies round.
A waste knot is one which you'll put while starting- Make a knot ,pass the needle and thread from the top and take it out at your starting point, the knot should be a couple of inches away from your starting point, after you've made enough kloster blocks, snip the knot and pass the thread through the blocks which you've made. This way both our starting and ending will look neat.Hope this helps.
Hi Anja!
I think you can post your question in both the forum and group, but mention hardanger in the title so that all the hardanger friends will pick it up.
Anja, looks like the hardanger lovers have not picked up your query about threads, wonder if it would be worth raising the topic in the friends of hardanger group, just a thought they are far more experinced than me and I am sure would come up with helpful suggestions. I will raise the topic on your discussion so it gets at the top of the dicussions again.
just been looking at your crocheting and see from your profile you also do hardanger, good to see another hardanger girl, look forward to seeing some pics, hardanger is my favourite technique. Amazed you find any time to stitch with 5 children, you must be riushed off your feet
