Hi Anita,
Just wanted to say hello as we are partners for the Spring doll swap. I think your dolls are great, very imaginative and colourful. Love those bunnies too.
Jules
I am way behind also and this week looks crazzzzzzy also. The weather here got nice and so that will mean that going for a walk will also be part of my daily activities. Dreaming Quilts : ) Carmen
Anita! You are my recipient for the Valentine Doll swap. I plan to work on her tomorrow at doll club meeting, so send me your snail mail address. It is on My Page - look just above the photos.
P.S. Just visited your blog. The moon poem is so beautiful!
Ooh, just noticed in your profile photo that the tap is turned on. Does your cat drink out of the tap like mine does, Bob will sit on the sink looking longingly at the spout until you turn on the tap. She also sits in the bathtub doing the same for hours, despite having fresh water put in a bowl every day. Spoilt, just plain spoilt !
Not sure what you call Quilters Cotton is? We have a fabric called Pima cotton which is like fine percale sheets, 200 plus thread count to the inch? That works well for me when I can resist the fancy satin fabrics that beg to be used for ballerina fairies, LOL. Fusing to another fabric makes them too thick to turn, even with a turning stick and tube.
I love cats with attitude, don't you? It makes them an interesting member of the family. My Bob (the female cat, daughters idea of a joke) is a character, a talker and prone to acting very cute when she wants a prawn or two hand fed to her.
hand embroidery, beading, fabric books (though I'm still at the 'looking at it with interest' stage), cloth dollmaking, fabric ATCs, journal quilts, crochet, sewing . . .
Where did you learn your textle skills?
from my mother and grandmothers, and then I picked up other things on my own.
