Quilting has been my passion for the past 15 years. I grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota, and have traveled around the world living for extended periods of time in both Germany and Italy. I received a BA in Art History from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Masters Degree in business management from the University of Mary. I have enjoyed studying a variety of art; including painting, black and white photography, two and three dimensional design and bronze casting. With an art history and studio art background, I have a strong appreciation for traditional quilting as well as a love for art quilting and the merging of the two disciplines.
Hi Amy,
Thanks for your reply and being my friend. I think this is going to be one of my favorite places to be VBG!!
Thanks for popping by my links. I must update my Etsy shop I have lots more things to list and if I didn't spend so much time on my computer maybe i could get caught up!! haha
Later on I must do some visiting and see what everyone is up to. I am so impressed with the needlework... It is a weak spot for me but i hope to improve with everyone's help.
xoxo

Amy, you commented on one of my photos on July 19, and I just found it. Thank you very much. I have just looked at your photos and I am totally jealous of your beading! It's fabulous! i have been scrutinizing the beaded crazy photos and I am going to shamelessly add more beaded stitching to the big crazy I am working on now. Wow! What an inspiration.
Hi Amy,
I don't think I am going to make it to the MN Quilters show this year as it conflicts with a community celebration here in Henderson. But I have quilting friends who will be going and I'll tell them to be on the lookout for your beautiful Sunflowers. If you are in the judged category, I hope you win a ribbon!!!
Amy,
The crazy quilted, beautifully beaded piece in your photos is incredible! I am just perusing members photos and commenting on a few that I find inspiring. Your work certainly is!

Amy, I peeked at your blog and etsy shop. What a team you and your Mom make! I love her porcelain pendants (saw Pat Winter's use of one of them on her blog). I worked with my daughter, Holly, on authoring our lst quilt book. Having daughters - truly a blessing - especially when we share the same interests.
