i am mostly self taught, but have recently started a Certificate course at the Royal School of Needlework in Hampton Court Palace, London. I'm currently working through my crewel work module.

I am a self taught bobbin lace maker, I currently make Torchon Lace, but hope to be beginning Honiton lace soon. I am also beginning to learn neddle lace and am a member of the Guild of Needle Laces.

Hello Alison, welcome to Stitin Fingers. I too want to learn both needle tatting and needle lace. I am chiefly an embroiderer and am experimenting with quilting and crazy quilting, which is great fun with all the embroidery. I used to teach a basic class in South Africa before I moved to England, I'm in Surrey. I really admire that you're going to the Royal School of Needlework, I would love to but am not too healthy. I do a lot of Jacobean work and am very interested in all types of Whitework. Good luck to you and enjoy your course, perhaps you can pass on some tips as you learn them. Kind Regards Mandy
