A group for those who collect and stitch from vintage iron-on embroidery transfers. Any type of embroidery worked from vintage transfers, such as traditional outline embroidery, traditional redwork and crayon tinting techniques are a welcome!

Hi Amber,
After reading your post on the RR group about your feet and knees, I just want to email some {{{{hugs}}}} to you. We always think our problems are bad, until we hear of somebody else who has worse problems. As my Dad always used to say "I cried because I had no shoes, then I saw a man who had no feet". Nerve damage to your feet sounds awful...I have slight nerve damage in my neck due to an accident 35 years ago, and so far the only effect it is having on me is loss of strength in my left arm and hand. Luckily I'm right handed, so it hasn't stopped me stitching, although it has slowed me down a bit. And I'm not in any pain, so that is another plus.

Hi Amber,
Just checking in to see if Jan has sent Lynne's RR to you yet? If you haven't heard anything yet, I'll give her a nudge (a STRONG nudge!).

Hi Amber! Just wanted to let you know that I'm deleting your comment on the stumpwork group with your personal contact details in. There's nothing bad about it, I just don't want you to be pestered by anyone who might get hold of your details from there and spam you!=)

Hi Amber,
I've posted a lengthy set of instructions re the Cross Stitch round robin on the CSF forum, and now I need everyone's postal address to get it going. Can you please email me direct with your postal address to add to this list of six participants for the RR - thanks!

Hi Amber,
You must be a mind reader!! I just posted the Biscornu swap partners on the Cross Stitchin Fingers group a minute ago! I've paired you with someone in the USA as you requested - Theresa. If you go to the Biscornu discussion group thread and click on any of the comments that Theresa has left, you will be able to find her Page and leave a message for her, to contact you by email to exchange postal addresses. Any problems, give me a hoy!

Hi Amber,
I just now saw the message you left me on stash bustin. So glad you liked the things I sent. I was able to share some of what you sent me with the girls at work and your pin cushions and hair scrunchies were a big hit! They all said thanks!
What are your thoughts on the transfers? Do you think they will work for you?
Thanks,
Dakotah

Thanks - it's great to hear from you. The river in WV is called the New River
although it's very old & very beautiful winding thru the valleys & mountains where I grew up - What river is near you? Didn't know there was a vintage
iron-on transfer group It's interesting because my dear mother did a lot of that
& I do some embroidery. Used to receive a catalogue from Hancock Fabrics of Paducah KY with those kind of transfers. Enjoy giving my grand-children
something I created too - although at my age it's getting a little difficult to keep
up with them all :)

Hi Amber,
Thank you for joining Cross Stitchin Fingers - it's great to have you with us! I'm not a grandmother (not even a mother) but I am 60 years old and semi-retired (I only work 9 hours a week), so like you, I'm enjoying more free time for stitching! I will post a welcome message to you on our Group message board, so do come over and say hi.
