What textiles are you interested in?
I DO ALL KIND OF EMBROIDARY WORK IN THE BEDSHEETS AND CURTAINS. ALSO I DO MUDWORK ON WOODEN BOARD, OIL PAINTING ON CANVAS AND MANY MORE HANDWORK LIKE STONE WORK ON POSTERS, SHOW PIECE MADE FROM JUTE. ETC.
Where did you learn your textile skills?
I LEARNT IT FROM MY MOTHER.
Is there anything else you'd like other members of Stitchin' Fingers to know about you? Please feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself by way of introduction.
I AM ALWAYS INTO EXPLORING NEW ART WORK. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SHARE AND EDUCATE OTHERS. I AM FROM GUJARAT, STATE OF ART, KNOW GUJARATI HANDWORK CALLED DESI BHARAT, MIRROR WORK ON MUD AND CLOTH. ETC. THIS SITE IS GREAT! I HAD LEARNT FEW STITCHES.

I WANT TO LEARN BRAZILIAN STITCH..I HAVE SEEN SOME OF THEM. VERY BEAUTIFUL.

DOES ANYONE HAVE IT. PLEASE SHOW THE STEPS ASWELL.

Alka, Stumpwork is not very difficult and everything that is required for it is available in Jamnagar. You basically need white or clear organza, 28 guage metal wire that is available at your local store that sells electrical fuses etc.,  DMC or Anchor floss, a hoop for stretching your fabrics, a very sharp pair of scissors and a big, sharp needle with a big eye on it for you wires to go through and of course ground fabric for the main body of your embroidery.  There are lots of books on the subject as well. Good luck and hope to see some of your work on SF.

While travelling for office in Train Journey; I do little crochet work.
I have recently completed one Blackwork motifs on my Kurta and a saree; painted with our Tribal Warli designs, I have done some hand embroidery work for learning purposes, simultanously; doing hardanger motifs on my Punjabi suit because of encouragement of my Hardanger yahoo egorup.

one saree got traced for Hand embroidery,

please pray that soon I could complete and share them with you,

I really liked your work very much, they are very nice and neat. will share my query on one embroidery stitch done earlier; till then good bye.
