I know, I found them on Etsy but then the store closed. They go on the outside for the project which makes them easy to handle for things like this ball shape. I bet zippers are the next thing to get some design makeovers - I've seen ones with polka dot tapes and ones with jeweled teeth, but it is this clever idea of making the zipper tape decorative so it can be sewn on the outside of the project that I really like.

This is a really pretty way to add a zipper, Susan.  I love these yarn pods.  I will see if I can find lace zippers anywhere and let you know.
