Blackwork 001

A scene through an arch. The mark at the top of the black arch is caused by the reflection from the glass. No matter what I do I get a reflection in the photo.

Beautiful work! I love blackwork (something I don't see myself pursuing and therefore just admire when done well by others) and this is no exception. Creative use of colour to lead the eye into the pic and through the arch.

Beautiful stitching!  I like that the buttery yellow leads the eye.  Sometimes the photography can be a real challenge.  You may have to remove the glass to get a good photo, otherwise Photoshop it out.

Wonderful.  The shading is so well done.  The darkness of the arch center left with the sunlight beyond is a master stroke.
