TAST Weeks 28, 27, 26, 25, 24. detail 1

I only recently learned what TAST is so this is my 2nd sampler, and it's not nearly finished yet.
I originally thought I would start at the beginning and work my way forward doing samplers with 3 or 4 stitches at a time, but I found the new stitches simply irresistable. I already know many of the earlier stitches, so I decided I would work backwards and forwards at the same time.
The stitches used in this sampler are:
Week 28-Up and Down Buttonhole Stitch
Week 27-Bonnet Stitch
Week 26-Palestrina Stitch
Week 25-Cable Chain Stitch
Week 24- Buttonhole Wheels

Week 3-Feather Stitch
Week 4-Cretan Stitch
Week 5-Herringbone Stitch

Oh, I really love this.  It's exciting to look at and so much fun with the colours.

Hi Lydia,

the herringbone stitch runs along the right side a little further over from this detail photo. It's done in variegated thread and one row of it is couching a variegated ribbon. Then the half buttonhole wheels are on the outside of that border.

Love the way the stitches work... like the bonnet couched with ribbons pulled through all puffy n Palestrina curls with their fronds shading the circular shapes... playful, colorful, fun that's very beautifully done! Thank you sooo much for posting... Samplers are wonderful n yours is up there with the best x

I think it is wonderful how you are working - a good method - and your embroidery is beautiful!
