TAST: Bullion Roses on wool blanketing hot water bottle cover

TAST: Bullion Roses on wool blanketing hot water bottle cover

I used 4 ply knitting wool and perle thread to create bullion rose decorations on this hot water bottle cover that I made from an old wool blanket to sell at the little shop down the road. I enjoy stitching with whatever I have to hand, rather than going out and buying lots of expensive threads. I find it quite satisfying to recycle and use bits and pieces to create beautiful items that people will love.
The project uses bullions, stem stitch and colonial knots.

Lovely and perfectly stitched! You can make light blue, red, orange, yellow.... well I think that this is such a beautiful pattern that it will look beautiful in any colour!

Thank you for your lovely, encouraging comments. I have been asked to make a few more of them for the shop. Anyone feel like suggesting colours for the roses on the next ones?
