TAST 2012- Cretan stitch

My intrepretation of cretan stitch. It is funny how this stitch used at the left side can be used as a filling and reminded me of a pulled thread stitch! Unfortunately I could not photograph it well for you to see it.
I used cotton perle 8 and 5 and metallic thread- and beads, of course.
