Ladies,

Thank you all for your very kind words.  I really appreciate the encouragement!  As some of you have already discussed, the "how to" of this piece really centers on the special threads that the designer has had made for this and other of her pieces.  For those of you who are wishing you could take one of Tricia's classes, I know that she is planning on offering an extended on-line stumpwork class that will allow students to stitch either a casket or mirror surround. . . but not for a year or two yet.  So save your pennies.  (Sadly, these historically accurate threads are wicked expensive.)

I too went to your blog to see the progress. What a lot of work is in this.  Congratulations on the great work.  Love the face.

I'm nearly finished on Tricia's Floral Glove online course.  No silk purl in that kit but some really ummy gold wires.  I've loved the couse and would recommend it, as well as the Needlework Nibbles that introduce some of the unusual threads that Tricia has had made.

This is beautiful. Tricia Nguyen is the only person who carries the thread covered purls which make up this design. I would like to take one of her online classes.....sometime.

I've been following this on your blog with great interest.  I am totally fascinated by this and the mermaids grotto.  I hope that Tricia will teach these in the UK one day, or perhaps through her on-line classes.

You did a great job and I think your kitty is a very fine follow!
