Hi Diane,
After making the silk/linen paper, I machine embroidered the pink flowers and filled them in with paint, then I made lots of machine stitched flowers in polyester and cut them out. Once they were in place, I hand embroidered stamens and added beads. Fiddly but not difficult really once you've got all the bits! The polyester flowers frayed a bit so some lost their edges, but I just saw a post by someone who used a soldering iron to cut out flowers, thus securing the edges (which I will try using next time after stitching the basic shape). Wow, these are so delicate and gorgeous. Are they easy to do, because it looks quite intricate?
