VijayaBhat froma technical point of view there are no rules in crazy quilting - you can do what ever you wish add as much or as little as you wish but it is a good idea to have some general sense of design ie have points of emphasis and quieter areas otherwise it can get a bit much on the eyes.  But that is my opinion rather than a 'rule' so the short answer is 'no rules'

A young woman recently joined my textile group at work and I introduced her to crazy quilting. She was very enthusiastic and immediately started a project. The following week she came to me and said : my mother has no idea what that is : " Wild Quilting" I will give her the link to your site Sharon and she can show her mother.

There are no rules with crazy quilting. You can do what ever you want.

Beautiful crazy quilt block. Is there any hard and fast rule for crazy quilt? Or as the name suggests do we have a free hand?
