The old stone church in Glenn Springs, Spartanburg County, SC. It was originally built as a Presbyterian Church and is now owned by the Glenn Springs Academy, formerly known as The Boys Home for neglected and abused boys. The community hopes to restore it as a chapel.

Comment by Jody Raines on October 1, 2012 at 6:12 Thank you very much, Margaret for your kind comments on this and other pieces. This one was difficult because of the brickwork. I had to at least 'suggest' it and the only way to do so was with fabric paint and painting random bricks. Glad you think I did it convincingly!
Comment by Margaret on October 1, 2012 at 0:40 your brickwork here is amazing
Comment by Jody Raines on September 30, 2012 at 20:58 The 'real thing' is such a beautiful structure. I hope the Glenn Springs community is successful in restoring it and preserving it!!! I tried to do these historic places justice as interpretations in fabric and thread. I really appreciate your kind comments.
Love this one too Jody. This would look great on my wall. lol
