Many thanks, Mini!

Ha ha ha, I love how game you are, Anneliese! His birthday is the 17th of June...he's a Gemini, like my beloved :D I get along very well with Geminis, so that's a relief.

Thank you so much Anne, you've been so enthusiastic all along...when the pattern and how-to is done, you can make your own! ;)

Thank you Carmelina, on the whole it was fun—a challenge, to be sure—but it kept me interested till the end.

I love the idea of being his "Patin" - that means I will send him greetings for his birthday every year - when was it exactly, :))) ?

Julie, thank you! I loved embroidering the wings, but I hated making them up later...they almost didn't survive being turned right-side out!

Thanks,Barbara! Yes, I think he really was worth the effort!

Anneliese, you have been one of the patient people, watching as I very slowly made this little bird from nothing. You should be his Patin! LOL

Dianne, I thought about perching him on the railing of the boat, but had this image of the blutack coming slowly undone, and him plopping into the water...it made my tummy drop and my knees go jelly-like. So I stuck him to something safe!

LOL, I think I'll put a tracker on his leg, now! ;) Why couldn't I have made a homing pigeon?

Thanks, Sharon! It is a long way from perfect, but I will keep going until I get it right...The pattern, and clear instructions for the making of a wren like this, are my main worries, now. No doubt I will be boring you all with photos of yet another wren, in about a month's time! ...the final version, made from square one, to test my patterns and how-to.

I am sure you will have a great response to this because it is so well done yet whimsical and charming.

If nutmeg does fly the nest, may he migrate in my direction.  Wonderful!

Oh Nat, Nutmeg is so so cute.  He looks like he is about to take off here.  Thankfully he cannot.

Welcome Nutmeg!! A little treasure - thank goodness he is not able to fly away!
