I usually don't upload pictures of work that is no my own, but after seeing Nicola's chair I thought of my mother, she stitched this chair about 60 years ago, and when she passed away I didn't have the heart to auction it off among a lot of other things in her home, I had it shipped from Denmark to the US, and I am so glad I did, it reminds me of her every day.

Comment by Connie Kusevskis on March 8, 2013 at 6:28 Thank you very much Noelle, I did not do the chair, my mother did, when she passed away I brought it over from Denmark, my mother would be very happy with all the nice comments.

Comment by Rosemary Jones on May 17, 2012 at 14:38 Absolutely beautiful, it must have taken a lot of hours to stitch. What a lovely momento to have, you must be very proud of it.
Comment by Connie Kusevskis on May 17, 2012 at 10:34 Thank you so much everyone, I know my mother would be so pleased if she could see all the nice comments about her work, unfortunately there was no internet back then so very few people ever saw the chair. My mother was a professional ladies tailor by trade, she sewed ball gowns for rich ladies, until she married, then she was a stay at home mom and sewed all her own clothes and mine, stitched needlepoint and she was also a fantastic knitter. Thank you all on my mothers behalf.
Absolutely breathtaking, and I can understand your wanting to keep it at any cost.
