needlecases and sock darner
Needlecases posed beside the family sock darner. Even when I was a kid I never saw my mom use it for mending socks.

I've never seen needle cases like these. Thank you for showing them.
ps my Nan always used a sock darner, a small wooden one. She particularly loved darning.
