Thanks for your lovely comments. The couched thread is a fancy knitting yarn with little lumps in it, I found it in a charity shop and loved the colour and texture. And I love trying out different stitches for couching, this is a daisy stitch but fly stitch & herringbone work as well.... infact any stitch that is worked side to side will trap a cord :)

I've never thought of using stitches like that for couching! Great Idea! This couched thread looks like a centipede with all his tiny little legs moving along! Fun! (Did you use a covered cord as the fat blue cord that was couched?)
