Thanks, Elaine. Yes, I took an old photograph of my mother when she was young ( she passed away many years ago) scanned it, photoshopped it, printed it on Printed Treasures sew on cotton, and then painted gold around it by hand.

Mimu, please accept me as your "friend" so we can chat.  I wanted to let you know the flowers on my crazy quilt block are all hand stitched - they are made out of silk ribbon and the laces (butterfleis) are lace which I hand dye.
