This is a new technique I'm trying collaging together heavy water color paper with thread stitches. The stitches here include the recent TAST stitches Portuguese Border, Arrowhead, and Buttonhole Eyelet Flower, as well as chain, open Buttonhole (or blanket), cross and woven cross. I was pleased to find that the paper held up better than I thought it would. I found it easier to poke the holes I was going to stitch into ahead a few at a time.

Using paper reminds me of the sewing cards we had at school when I was a child.
