Knotted Loop Trees

These knotted loop evergreens are stitched on a shirt that I have snipped the pearly buttons from, ripped out the little rose tag from the outside side seam, and retired after wearing it for over 15 years. it is well worn and so soft. But it was ripped recently. I can't throw it away.

The red made me think, as does all the falling leaves and night time frosts and freezes here in upstate NY, of Christmas. I made a beaded hedebo edging wreath in the middle adding blown glass and wooden beads for details.

Since this is the yoke of the deconstructed shirt, and I have only stitched the center, there may be more Holiday Stitching happening on this piece.

This stitch looks great in your little evergreens.  The wreath is really pretty too.

Nice trees, this stitch is a good one for this design.  Love those pepperming log beads.  Wonderful xmas theme.
