I wanted to make a healing doll for depression ,a request made after my last breast cancer doll. But my design didn't quite translate into 3d.
Making it in 2d has helped me sort out issues I had with the doll.
I also used the knotted blanket stitch for this weeks TAST challenge.
The design is based on the old concept the that a person has a soul ,intelligence, and a body .
A red layer of energy surrounds the person to help combat the depression that also surrounds the person though doesn't touch the person.
I made the quilt egg shaped (roughly speaking) another old concept -the universe is egg shaped. And 3 strands hang down from without the quilt representing Love,Happiness,Health.
