This William Morris leaf was designed into a canvas work pattern by Lorene Salt. It was great learning all the different stitches even though it took me a year to finish.

Thank you for your kind comments Annet & Anneliese. Yes, this is a Holbein stitch. The pattern also calls it a double running stitch.
