Kate's wedding gift

I hand-dyed some dorr wool yardage in a crock-pot. Then I transferred on the design using prick-and-pounce then baste. The stitching was done with 1 strand of Caron Impressions mainly in a somewhat free-form filling stitch based on stem stitch. Chain stitch, long and short stitch, outline stitch and drizzle stitch were also used.

This lovely work, both the dying and the embroidery. There is a real sense of light and shade on the embroidery work. Thanks for sharing. Is this part of a blanket?
