Golden Delicious 1

beaded double hebedo edge border. using 2 threads. rather pleased. first attempt at appliqué. steep learning curve :-) interesting trying to get photos right. went for real sunshine cos indoor pic looked flat and dull, but shadows are very strong. another steep learning curve :-)

Personally I love the shadows cast by the padded work... and the gold glints in the sunlight... also the casting shadows add to the hadebo border :)

thanks folks. lydia i'm afraid i have to admit i didnt do the bead work on the leaf. i cut it off a bit of tee shirt material. the shading is done in stem stitch in 2 greys. (that does not make it shades of grey !)

:)) I can see a lot of my Christmas Card's getting this boarder... beautiful. I love the bead work on the leaf and is there gold work round the lettering and the apple?

Excellent to use the beaded Hedebo Edge for a frame.
