Felted wool bag

I took the cornerstone sheep faces from my Crazy Sheep wool quilt and combined them to make this wool purse with hand embroidered feather stitching.

Can't get enough of your soulful sheep!

Thanks! your comments are much appreciated.  As I get older, I am really discovering myself.  Each piece builds on something I previously explored, adding a twist, staying within my theme of realistic animal designs.

I have followed (and bought) Debra's work for several years.  She just keeps getting better and better!

Thank you for all the wonderful comments.  The technique I used for felting is really easy.  I changed the textures that I felted by using rovings of different lengths and characteristics (curly or smooth).  I created a stencil for each area, and filled in the hole of the stencil with the proper roving for that area.  The eyes are iridescent glass beads, the mouth and nostrils are hand embroidery.
