I always liked the kangaroos, then took this date (tomorrow, May 13 is Mother's Day, here in Brazil), to mount this little quilt in honor of Mother's Day and also to my friends Australian mothers! I think the lovely kangaroo mother carrying her child in the bag ... The base is a national fabric, bought in Sao Paulo, the Kangaroos came from an international exhibition of patchwork.
I used several stitches: Half Chevron, Wheatear, Detachated Chain, Stem and many French knots!
DMC perle, 8, 5, and Appleton wool and Malabrigo.
