Elf Shoes! Made from felt and embellished with beads, bullion roses, tiny sequins and beads. These are so quick and fun to make. They are inspired by my Slippers for the May Queen - of course there isn't the room for an embroidered verse on the sides.

Thank you Ann. IT's a bit hot here for elves to be wearing these here at the moment, but come winter I imagine the local elves will all be demanding new shoes!

I can see where this is going, fairy girl! Yes, I've read a version of the book. I can see myself either saying NO to you or being very busy. I don't like saying no to you, dear friend, so it looks like I'll be getting the sewing machine out...
Have you ever read the book "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie"? Well, if you make me a pair of elf shoes, you'll have to make me a fairy dress, and if you make me a fairy dress, I'll need a pair of wings, and if you make me a pair of wings.....etc. etc. etc.!!!!
Perhaps we could make some in your size anyway, Starr - with leather soles so you could wear them when you're out walking in the woods!
If I were a fairy, I'd want a pair in every color - the green and yellow for everyday, and the black and red ones for evening. And yes, I would feel rather smug.
Thanks Starr. I like to think they are poncing about in their little slippers, feeling pretty smug about their shoes.
Love the little elf shoes! So cute, Meg. I'll bet those little elves are the envy of everyone in the forest!
Thanks Sharon.
When I first saw this photograph I thought this would hit number 1 on the front page leader board with no trouble. I was right! Congratulations and thanks for sharing as many people have enjoyed seeing this.
