This project was a study in soft shading using not only long & short stitch, but other stitches as well. I chose split and button hole stitch in addition to L&S, and embellished with herringbone, coral knot, couched, French knot, stem, satin and closed fly. EGA's design, my color and stitch choice.

Because you asked elsewhere about taking photographs, I hope you won't mind if I comment on the photography. This is a great overall shot, well framed, in focus and well framed. I guess that this was still on the embroidery frame or mounted but not under glass so the work ground fabric is smooth and there are no pesky reflections.
When you click on View Full Size the picture does not really enlarge and you cannot zoom in this is because either the original was taken with a low pixal setting or perhaps the original pic was cropped and resaved with a low pixal setting.
