Susan, Wonderful job! Your sampler is very inspiring to me. thanks for sharing. I just purchased the book Beginner's Guide to Drawn Thread by Patricia Bage. I'll try to do something. I know I have a long way ahead ... ;)

Thank you all for the lovely comments. Some of my earlier close-up photos are also from this sampler. Patterns have been sourced from books, old magazines and from old embroideries. Experienced stitchers may recognize some of them. There are many more variations I could try so I won't run out of patterns any time soon.
