Comment by Grace Lister on July 24, 2012 at 12:42 Melinda, this piece is sewn on a base of silk fibres made into fabric which was then applied to cotton fabric. Segments of very thin silver leather and one segment of chiffon were applied over that. The centre raised area is worked with hot glue applied with a hot air gun and straight stitches and beads applied afterwards. A variety of threads were couched down the edges of the segments. I hope you can work this out in the photo.
