butterfly2

I was playing around with embroidery last year for a project to enter into a competition but I didnt complete the project due to being poorly with MS. One day these will be included in something but I dont know what yet. Im still collection wire and embroidery silks, proper silk which is really hard to get hold of. I will keep you posted when I do some more butterflies.

Hi Pam
thankyou for your kind comments about the butterfly. I used pure silk thread so its better to use cold soluble backing I bought this from Hobby Crafts. I dont know what Im going to use with the butterfly yet Im keeping them for something special maybe a wall hanging or on a fancy waistcoat of somesort. This will help me to design more butterflies.. always go to car boot sales and charity shop and keep an open mind what you found.
The wire I found on the floor while walking the dogs, its amazing what little things you can find such as beads.
Now heres the fun bit,,,,,,,, with plain white or cream pure silk thread paint,,,,, on the thread with variegated colours from silk paints,,,, yes it works, also nice to have the real silk variegated thread but its nice to mix and match. Im pleased to hear youre doing charity quilts,,, Ive got a few to do for the PDSA and for The Hearing Dogs For The Deaf, let me know how you go one with it and post pictures on here.... do a blog so that you have a following.

This looks lovely! Stitching is very soothing. I am sorry you have MS. Must make life pretty challenging sometimes. I will look forward to seeing more of your work.
