The embroidery was done on several sheets of water soluble film which washed away like a dream when the wing was finished.

Pam, you could always snip off a small piece and drop it into some cold water to see if it disolves. I don't think that the hot water type will disolve in cold water but I think that cold water type will disolve in both.

Faith that butterfly is so beautiful, you clever to think of that idea?
I am doing some work for a charity quilt and want to make butterflies and dragonflies. This seems a good idea on soluble fabric? Please can you let me know which stitch you used to in fill? Is it satin stitch?
Have to laugh ....so long ago I bought soluble fabric by the yard..now I cant remmember whether it is HOT or Cold water disolvable lol!!!!!! Suppose it would work with either?
Anyhow lovely to enjoy looking at this butterfly...thank you.
