Comment by Lorna Bateman on January 26, 2013 at 16:24 Thank you - he is part of a bigger project which I am completing for an exhibition at the end of March so lots of work still. Put put a pic up of complete project when done!
Comment by Devon Melanie Dougall on January 26, 2013 at 15:46 This is so fantastic - the eye and fur are so perfect!
Such a creative way to add texture, and oh so cute!

Comment by Lorna Bateman on April 16, 2012 at 4:59 Thank you all! I worked an initial layer of long and short underneath, which was padded with felt, and then long thin bullions on top using one strand of thread. He is actually quite tiny - about 2" or 5 cm long!

Comment by Terry on April 13, 2012 at 20:57 I'm so partial to hedgehogs! It is not common to see them done with bullion. Nicely done.
What a perfect little fellow he is. I would love to see how you would interpret our Australia Echidna. I am sure your hands could work him into a masterpiece.
Adorable.
