Bookcover

Fabric is hand dyed and patched and after a long period of not knowing what to do with it I had the idea to make a bookcover as a present. I cut stamps and printed with the only possible colour - white with a little gold and added machine embroidery and a few beads and about 16 fly stitches.

Very lovely, lucky person who received this gift! The machine embroidery really enhances the overall effect.

Thank you Claire. The bookcover is now at its destination - a friend in a new appartment.

Thank you again. As the photo is too pale I put in another one. Is there a possiblity to delete a photo but keep the comments? Does anybody know?

A beautiful book cover and well-implemented techniques and colors.

Thank you my stitchin friends all so much for your encouraging and wonderful comments. To hold this bookcover in hands is something quite different. It looks much richer in reality than on the photo. All the more I thank you with a smile.

this is so unusual...love the stamping...needlework...looks simplistic...but the details tell me it isn't so!
