Sunday afternoon was rainy, ideal for stay at home embroidering ... I remembered the movie Blade Runner, and in particular a scene which appears the image of a Japanese woman in a Led panel. The image is of lower resolution by today's standards, but for the time the film was released, it was a novelty! Blade Running Stitch! And the soundtrack by Vangelis, unforgettable!

Comment by Terry on March 17, 2012 at 22:19 This is why I consider Luiz a master in embroidery. One stitch technique only, and five colors and he has conjured a scene that tells a story and produces music!
Comment by Libertad Speranza on March 15, 2012 at 7:16 My boyfriend is a huge fan of the movie, He was thrilled! Amazing work! (as usual) ;)
Comment by Marie on March 14, 2012 at 12:55 Oooooo, I adore Blade Runner! I still remember the first time I saw it and being mesmerized by the huge LED screen with the beautiful Japanese lady. And I agree about the soundtrack - amazing!
I adore this piece, it really captures that dark yet beautiful mood of the movie.

Comment by Sandra on March 13, 2012 at 16:55 That is awesome! I have not seen Blade Runner for many years. I really love Vangelis, I'll look online to see which music was used..
My new work I have sketched out a nine point star in the center, a knotted flower garden , all with paths to embroider.. I will complete the blackwork fish first. Spring is coming , one species of bird (Crow) is back, none of our winter birds have left yet...this is how we know spring is coming. Our snow is going.. Keep in Sttiching Luiz!
