Hi Jessicia, I think it is, but this is a specific kind of laid work. I didn't use trellis stitches to couch down the laid threads. I guess it's kind of the same technique though.

It is not running stitch. I couched down another thread over the base threads. So first I throw threads across, then again from top to bottom and I couched down the threads from top to bottom.

The Bayeux stitch you hae done here, do the running stitches "tie down" the foundation stitches? A very interesting technique. Thanks for sharing!
