Cockerel embroidered in gold and brown using a multitude of stitches.......because I used different stitches for the 'feathers' it wasn't too difficult .THis is one of my first completed items and took hours to do.

A fun and fantastic cockerel. Also a good stitch experience; it DOES take a long time to stitch by hand. I think you should mount and frame the birds as they are excellent stitch samplers. Well done!

Thank you Karen and Algecira as stated I am new to all this but spent hours doing these.....not sure what I will be doing with them. The stiches came out differently depending on the type of thread I used and look ok due to good luck more than anything. I did quite a lot of 'couching'with different coloured threads which gave different effects. I have brilliant book which gives me all the stitches.
