Oma, this is really beautiful. You've had lots of fun with this - I can see by the stitching.
Comment by Kathy Gill-Hopple on February 23, 2012 at 19:52 there nmust nbe a story behind this - why are you calling it a pebble?
Comment by Oma Rose on February 23, 2012 at 18:31 Thanks for the feedback ladies. I still have to "Stuff" the pebble, and since I live on a sand plain, I may have to revert to the original idea of padding it to look like a pebble with wadding and cardboard; I won't find a suitable large pebble in the garden! The basket is woven over a shell that lies underneath the top layer of calico. Good luck with your own Pebbles, they are a lot of fun and they are addictive.
Comment by Shirley on February 23, 2012 at 16:47 I really like this particularly the weaving on the larger stone. I am hoping to start mine soon too.
Comment by Heather Gilbert on February 23, 2012 at 14:04 This is beautiful. I can't figure out how you made the basket. Did you attach it afterwards? Wonderful choice of colours too.
Comment by Kathy Gill-Hopple on February 23, 2012 at 13:58 lovely - is the center really a pebble or did you just call it that? love all the french knots!
