Almost finished encrusting my Pebble

This little project has been lots of fun and is my excuse for not getting my Chain stitch TAST done yet...

Oma, this is really beautiful.  You've had lots of fun with this - I can see by the stitching.

there nmust nbe a story behind this - why are you calling it a pebble?

Comment by Oma Rose on February 23, 2012 at 18:31

Thanks for the feedback ladies. I still have to "Stuff" the pebble, and since I live  on a sand plain, I may have to revert to the original idea of padding it to look like a pebble with wadding and cardboard;  I won't find a suitable large pebble in the garden! The basket is woven over a shell that lies underneath the top layer of calico. Good luck with your own Pebbles, they are a lot of fun and they are addictive.

I really like this particularly the weaving on the larger stone.   I am hoping to start mine soon too.

This is beautiful. I can't figure out how you made the basket. Did you attach it afterwards? Wonderful choice of colours too.
