Absolutely useless object

This was inspired by the Quilting Arts Magazine Feb-Mar 2010 issue as a five-day mystery quilt. I of course, could read the five steps at once but anyway I followed in my own way and created this "vase" with three holes as an object to display - and probably gather dust, ha ha.

Beautiful, I just have to keep looking at it. I love the sheen and the diversity of shapes, textures and colours. Thanks for sharing.

This is a lovely piece of work. The colours are really vibrant and work really well together.

This would have to be very small balls of yarn, because.............the object is a miniature of .....se below! Anyway good idea, Shirl!

Thank you all for your comments. And Linda, it is as you say: It is fun to take this object into the hands and turn it around and see the holes (one hole cannot be seen in the photo) and think about what it meant to be and put it back somewhere. Do make this once! It is really very enjoyable.
Cynthia! I like this idea of putting a vase inside, a very small one.... because this object is just about 12 cm high and 18 cm long....
