Hi Lynn - I loooove this!! Reminds me of this great, old quilt I got many years ago. I was told it was originally a "hired hand's quilt" - A what?? Seems that farm wives would make quilts for the hired hand(s) - they were 'cut short' and/or about a foot or so short of full length. A social statement of the time?? Whatever, I guess some quilters had bigger hearts than others or something, bc. the vintage one I've got is a simple design, yes, but chock-a-block with bright, cheerful fabrics! Oh yeah, and w-a-r-m fabrics! As if they came from old blankets and coats, etc. Cheers! Charlotte
