wave

Photo of a wave might have been October just off Dawlish, reversed and then printed onto acetate. Left in the sun with cyanotype fabric. FME stitch to add texture.

not really an expert yet... I did the city and guilds courses in embroidery, that really puts you through your paces lol

Anyway, you must be an expert. It is so great. I also love drawing with the machine - with the difference that I am not able to draw anything but just lines and circles.

Thank you Shelia, I have a basic Bernina (1008). I put rubber doorstops under it so that it tilts towards me a little. I use the darning foot mostly, then relax my shoulders and just gently move the fabric. I imagine the needle is a pencil and just slowly draw. As with everything it is all about practise. Let me know if I can do anything to help =)

I really love your colour and stitchery, I am intimidated by my sewing machine and when I see work like yours, it really makes me want to try again.
