They are looking great. One panel finished, one more to finish up. I've put them across the bottom and up the side. Using colored flour sacks in yellow and red to go across bottom and up sides in strips.

I have a packet of transfers in those veggie designs, and have embroidered a couple of tea towels in recent years.  They would look great on kitchen curtains!

Aunt Martha designs can be found at www.colonialpatterns.com

You may want to look for the packet containing all the state birds... I think all types of birds are featured in that set. But there's also a "birds galore" and "birds for various uses" sets that contain a lot of birds. There's a "Fifty States" quilt set that contains both the state birds and state flowers.

Help! my grandmother has asked me to recreate a baby quilt she had back in the 1920's or 30's. All she remembers is that it had 16 squares of different kinds of birds embroidered on it. She has mentioned "baby peacocks, flamingos, ducks, geese, and parots" but not much else. I have googled but nothing has come up. She swares her mother made it from squares or a kit. Anyone have a clue? I am lost.
