Like Gina, I have decided this is the year to get some of these UFO done. Actually I make that decision just about every year at this time! LOL! Maybe we can keep each other on track by talking it through here. Anyone else?

I am working on some star blocks for a quilt. It isn't an old UFO, but it's near enough done to actually get there soon! I have 5 more blocks and then need to assemble and add borders. I think I can get it done by the end of this month.

What UFOs are you working on this month?

Hi Liz, to be able to sort out my new office, (we have moved house into a different area) I had to go through boxes and bags!! WELL, I came across projects, blankets, bargello quilts, dolls clothing, all started but incomplete!! So, I am making a concerted effort to finish at least one by the end of the week. I am on track, I have only got two more rows to join to a "Drop-In-The-Bucket" crocheted blanket, weave in the ends and wash. I will put a photo up when I get it finished. I have also got a couple of "Mile-A-Minute" blankets underway as well. These are my throw in the car to take to appointments and even work during the slow periods!! LOL I crochet so I have a huge stash of wool but am never able to find the right colour when i want it. Anyone else have that problem??
Hi Liz,
I haven't been on the Stitchin Fingers site for a week or so, otherwise I would have replied to your discussion before now. Well, I'm happy with my progress. I took the easiest UFO on my list, and have worked steadily on it, and it is nearly finished. Another hour's work, and I'll be posting a pic of it on my blog. It will be called FO. Not UFO....lol.
Hi Gina & Fiona. So far it's We Three talking about our UFOs. Maybe others will join in eventually.

I have finished all the blocks on my quilt top and worked out a layout. Next step is to square up the blocks and stitch them together. I will post a photo when it's a completed top. This week I hope!
I had hoped to be further along on my first UFO by now - like ready to start the next one! But that is how UFO work usually goes - fits and starts! If it doesn't have an external deadline, guess what gets put aside?

Anyway, the blocks are all stitched together and I have selected border fabrics. I'm still plugging along. How are you doing?
I saw your work on this UFO on your blog last night Liz - I reckon you are going like a train - full steam ahead! I picked up my miniature wall hanging again today and got a bit done, but I was at a friend's house, and she is a novice cross Stitcher. She kept interrupting my stitching with problems she was having with her own, so I didn't get much done! I'm not complaining though - it's great to introduce another person to the joys (and frustrations, lol!) of stitching.
Looks like it's you and me, Liz. What a shame all the other people who posted comments in here two years ago have either gone or lost interest in this Group...It was such a great concept. I know I dropped out for a while because I couldn't understand one of the discussions on how the group should be run, but I came back to it just to try and get motivated by what others are doing.
Anyway, I'm pleased with my NY resolution progress. Four UFOs now finished, and it's only March! OK, I admit I selected the smaller/easier projects to finish, but it's got me on a roll, and now I'm looking forward to getting stuck into the larger ones.

Four UFOs! Yikes, I need to put on some speed to catch up! Even if it's only the two of us, we can keep each other motivated. And I see that I've used the wrong method to choose my next project . . . gotta go for the one closest to being done! Come to think of it, I did do that. Hmmm. I think it still has to do with what you set as a priority. And then sticking with it! You are doing great at that! Me . . . not so much!
Hi Everyone

I'm drowning in my own muddle at present and have resolved to clean it up... actually resolved to do it in the New Year and made some headway and then school/work went back and that was the end of it for a while. The UFO box has some pieces gone though. I finished a quilt top on Saturday and the next on the list is the quilt top I started for my daughter. She very shyly presented me with 3 fat quarters in a quilt shop one day when she was just five and asked could she have a quilt "from these?" Her eyes nearly fell out of her head when I said yes but she'd need to find more, they wouldn't be enough! I think a fabric shopper was truly born that day. It's genetic, isn't it? Anyway, three blocks to make up now the embroidery is done (Thank you Grandma!)

Rosemary
Elizabeth, those are wonderful WIPs. It must be terrible to see them languishing from lack of attention! On the other hand, I really understand the need to start a new piece. I'm afraid I started yet another project today and my UFOs have progressed very little. Oh, the guilt!
Drumroll, please! I have actually finished a UFO! My first this year - and No, it is not the one I was working on in January! Oh dear. I really do need to get a handle on these things, don't I? Anyway, here she is. She just needs to be framed and then I already have a place on the wall for her. Now on the the next . . . .

Oh wow Liz - she is really stunning! Reminds me a bit of my Indian chief - a big project, but well worth the effort to get it finished :-)
Hello all, I am working on a Secret Garden Crocheted blanket. Unfortunately I seem to have more UFOs than less, does anyone else have this problem?? I have tried hiding them in a cupboard but that is the cupboard that my husband always chooses to put things away in and so he catches me out. I'm a procrastinator hence the UFOs! I need HELP!!
